Call for abstracts are now open!

Submit your Teaching Idea at any stage of development to participate in the 16th Annual Resources for Ecology Education – Fair and Share (REEFS) at the ESA annual meeting.

Why REEFS?

For 16 years, this popular education workshop has provided faculty of all stages of their career an opportunity to share and learn about favorite and innovative classroom activities from colleagues, and discover ways to engage students using active teaching methods. The fields of ecology and education are constantly changing and we encourage instructors at all levels of experience are encouraged to present teaching ideas at any stage of development and to participate in this session. This session will break into small groups so that participants can discuss teaching approaches, challenges, and strategies.

This year we are particularly interested in submissions that highlight topics and approaches that have grown in importance in recent years, such as the Four-Dimensional Ecology Education (4DEE) framework, flexible learning activities that can be adapted for in-person and remote learning, and approaches to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in teaching.

Submit by June 15 for early consideration.  Proposals accepted until filled.
