Hello allies committed to climate action, the future of New Mexico governance and community health:
Healthy Climate New Mexico is excited to invite you and your organization to participate in and help promote our, Climate Change & Our Health Town Hall: Candidates Respond, the evening of December 4, 2025, at the CNM WORKforce Training Center, 5600 Eagle Rock Ave NE, Albuquerque. Doors open at 6, and the Town Hall is from 6:30 to 8:00.
This event will feature candidates for Governor and Lt. Governor, with discussion topics that are relevant to legislative candidates and community leaders. To ensure a truly nonpartisan space, the venue will be free of campaign materials and candidates or their representative will only participate in responding to the moderator's predetermined questions.
Many organizations (NM MAS and others) received our early save-the-date in July - what's new is the invitation to table and other details for the event.. This is a non-partisan 501(c)(3) event at which no direct campaigning by candidates or their supporters will take place. Rather, candidates or their “stand in” will answer questions related to our Healthy Climate NM mission and public policy. All of the Democratic campaigns for those
We have three direct “asks” of you and your group:
Your Participation: watch in-person or on-line yourself, and encourage your staff and leadership to do so too. [individual registration form here- if we “sell out” pre-registered attendees will be admitted first]
Spread the word: Please share this event with your networks [A sample newsletter or email message is provided for you below.]
Share your work by tabling: Share the good news of your organization’s mission and activities by staffing a table at the event, inside the room, before and after the Town Hall itself. We hope you are available to staff a table (of your own, or with a partner group) and show solidarity for the work we are all doing to advance sustainable climate policies that promote health and equity. Tables and chairs will be provided by CNM. Candidates for Governor and Lt. Governor, as well as the public in attendance would be greatly impressed by us all!
If you’d like to table at the Town Hall, please complete a Tabling Registration Form. Tables will be reserved on a first-come-first served basis. There won’t be a required fee, but if you’re able to make a $50 donation (or more, or less, or whatever you can 😄) to Healthy Climate NM to help cover event costs, we’d sincerely appreciate it. Directions on how to do that will be on the registration form.
We hope to see you December 4th!
With deep gratitude,
Shelley Mann-Lev for Healthy Climate New Mexico
