We would like to invite the local EE community to attend this event with ALMA (Apprenticeship for Leaders in Mosaic Arts) at the
Tijeras Bio-Zone Education Center. The event is co-hosted by ALMA, Ciudad Soil and Water Conservation District and the City of Albuquerque Open Space.
In addition to the opportunity to provide design input on the upcoming mosaic project, we also invite you to learn about the Tijeras Bio-Zone Education Center, its connection to the Tijeras Cultural Corridor and opportunities for organizations to host outdoor education and recreation programs at the site.
In July 2025, the Tijeras Bio-Zone officially opened to the public, including access to the newly built ADA Sensory Trail. You can learn more about it
here.
Unfortunately, the site is temporarily closed due to flooding damage. During this event the hosts will provide supervised access to the site, however the trail may not be fully accessible during the workshop.
We hope to see you there!
