Hi Jordyn!
I have a correction to make on the email I just sent for the listserve! Can you please send out this one below instead of the previous message?

Hello Educators,
On Saturday 10 January 2026 Bosque School (Albuquerque) is hosting a one day AI and Data Centers focused workshopspecifically for young people, especially high school students, but other young people will be welcome too. Specifically it will be about exploring both the potential benefits of those facilities as well as their energy, water, and other environmental needs especially as they relate to competing interests in New Mexico including agriculture, wildlife, and fisheries. The workshop will involve hands-on and participatory opportunities for young people to learn about and form their own opinions about these topics.

This FREE event is from 9am - 3pm and lunch and snacks are provided. Any student can participate but the conversation and activities are geared towards a high school audience.

To register, email: Kim....@bosqueschool.org with names and number of attendees and allergy/dietary restrictions.

Hi Jordyn!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a happy start to the new year so far! We are back in full swing at Bosque School and are gearing up for our upcoming AI Workshop event that I had shared with the EENM community back in December. We have, however, decided to shift the date back to allow for more students to sign up. Can you please share the following message with the EENM community?
Thank you so much!
- Kim :)

Hello and Happy 2026 Fellow Educators,
Earlier in December, I shared a message about a very interesting conversation being held for students around the topic of A.I. and Water in New Mexico. We have since decided to move the FREE workshop to Saturday, January 31st from 9am - 3pm, hosted at  at Bosque School in Albuquerque, NM. We hope this later date will make it easier for students and families from across the state to  attend.

This is going to be a thought provoking and engaging event. Many people are unaware that New Mexico is rapidly becoming a hub for AI Data Centers - infrastructure that requires significant amounts of energy and water. This workshop will be a blend of hands-on and engaging activities intermixed with discussion from expert panelists. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions, think critically and develop their own thoughts and opinions on this complex and timely topic that is unfolding right here in our own backyard. Lunch and snacks will be served.

This workshop is designed for high school and college level. Motivated upper middle school students are also welcome, with the understanding that some of the content may be more technical in nature.

Interested adults are welcome as well! While the programming is student focused, curious parents, educators and community members who would like to learn more about AI, water and energy in New Mexico are encouraged to register. We're glad to have you join us too!

We hope you'll consider joining us for this meaningful learning opportunity.
Funding for transportation is available. Please ask for details.

Please feel free to share this information with teachers or families who may be interested in attending this event.

Register HERE!
