Decisions…Decisions…

Global warming, a phrase that we hear and see everywhere now a day; but what is it? Global warming is so slow process of the earths surrounding atmosphere heating, causing changes to earths climate and weather activities (EDF.org). Human activity is what scientist believe to be the cause of global warming. Scientist predict that the future of global warming outcomes are to be dangerous, and irreversible. Some traces of global warming can even be traced all the way back as far as to the 19th century (AIP.org). Global warming is going to become a big problem in the future years to come. Not only environmentally, but also for the economically, and socially.
Global warming posts my harmful outcomes for the environment. Not only is it killing our earth, but it also hurts many of earths resources. Trees, for example are a vital resource to us for numerous reasons. But not, trees in the US are dying two times quicker then they have in the past (The Guardian). Scientist believe that global warming is the cause. With all these trees dying out, as a result, it could be a factor in speeding up climate change. Along with trees, our oceans are effected too. Ocean levels are rising due to glacier melting. Ice is melting everywhere, mostly at the North and South poles. Plants, and animals have migrated to different areas, and precipitation levels have made a drastic change.(Enviornment.Nationalgeographic)
Economically, global warming can be a bit of a hassle. Yes, there are many programs and solutions, but they would cost the government a lot of money, time, and effort. By not taking action, one would think the economy would be better off. However, the price we would be may be more damaging. Damages, migration, coping, and lost time and resources may be just a sliver of what the outcomes are of not taking action (Climatehotmap). And with all these outcomes comes a cost. I’m talking about the kind of cost with a dollar sign, and a lot of zeros on the end. The economy could actually suffer more if we do not take action; because of the drastic outcomes we face.
Surprisingly, so think that global warming is not real, just some hoax thought up. If so, a lot of people would be wasting their time and money. Some people would be driving themselves scared over nothing too. Socially, the population would feel lied too. A lot of effort and time has been put into actions against global warming. Many groups, and organizations, websites, books, and other tools have had effort put into the. Many precautions we have been advised to take, and the way some have chose to live will be factored in. The way of life for a huge chunk of the world will be vulnerable to what some say is a big lie.

Not only is global warming a problem, but it is a problem on many different levels. It is going to be a threat in the future years coming. It is a threat to us, as inhabitants of this planet targeted by global warming. A threat to our environment, which we seen food, and oxygen from. A threat to our economic system, based around money , and how it should be spent. Also, a threat to us socially as a community; so many what ifs. Global warming is real, and will continue to prosper as humans continue their ways.

After reading your essay, I can get your topic which means you have showed your thesis clearly. As a reader, I want you to convince me your opinion. But in your body paragraph, you use a lot of research results. I think these are too abstract. You’d better add more facts or examples to support your idea and analyze these sources. Besides, you should pay more attention to what’s the result if people think global warming is not true and decide not to take action. As for your conclusion, I think that could be more concise. Just show your opinion.

I enjoyed your essay, and I believe it met the prompt. You touched a bit on peoples ideas that global warming could be a hoax but if you backed that up with a statistic it could make more of a statement. To enhance this essay I would suggest finding sources with factual number statistics instead of just relying on "kind of cost with a dollar sign, and a lot of zeros on the end". also by touching on the  "dangerous, and irreversible" future effects of global warming as stated in your intro would grab the reader and maybe caution them.
