When fishing through
information about global warming it is apparent there is a wide range of ideas
conspiracies, and just plain BS. Nonetheless since the late 1800s temperatures
have raised a 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit on average around the world (“natigeo”).
So there is no doubt for a debate in our economical concerns, political views,
and social living.
There’s an enormous amount of money going in to global warming. So far 20.2 billion dollars have been spent this year on it (“dailycaller”). With so much money you have to wonder if it’s all worth it is the threat of global warming worth 20 billion plus dollars. Let’s say we do nothing with global warming and everything stays the same, money we spend will be lost for nothing and a lot of money will be in people’s pockets for no reason. What if we stayed neutral on global warming and just ignore the issue till we are too late? Weather you believe in global warming or not this would be the worst thing for us to do as a country. Global warming increases natural disasters like Droughts, floods, wildfires, and hurricanes (ndrc). With disasters on the rise the cost to reconstruct states cities and towns will be tremendous. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council by 2100 if nothing is done to prevent global warming hurricane damages will have grown to 422 billion dollars annually (ndrc).
If evidence has shown us anything it’s that the smartest thing for the United States is to take an immediate action on this problem. Being global warming is a global problem we need our government to help aid the people in the right direction in lowering our carbon footprint. If not aided by the government our emissions will continue to exceed high levels and global warming will continue to haunt us.(paragraph not done)
If we do nothing for global warming the life of the average Americans life will be in jeopardy information from (ndrc) shows that on average 700 more deaths will occur every year due to global warming if change does not happen. If global warming is looked at as an opportunity rather than a life taking monster, we might be able create ideas that will help our employment problem. For instance the automotive companies are getting ready to set a MPG requirement of 45 mpg by 2026. From this there is an estimated 575,000 jobs rising from the standard (ndrc). If global warming happens to be of lesser danger than we predict and we over prepare and cut emission society will still benefit from the new jobs new cleaner way of life.
No matter how you look at it there’s no escaping the fact that our world is changing from the temperatures and our resources and on. The outcome that is most credible in my mind is the one when we take steps to better the employment threw fighting global warming. With this it lets us take on global warming in a way where it isn't going to be cost effective and we can take small steps to transfer to alternate energies and create many jobs on the way. In my mind this is the answer to the issue and is soon to be the future.
