QEAN Convenor Nominations Open 2010-2011

Have you ever thought about doing more with your love for the earth and playing an important role that supports and inspires people to action? 

Right now, the Qld Environmental Activist Network is looking for an individual or a group of people to step up into the network convening role between Nov 2010- Nov 2011. More about QEAN and the position attached, or download it at http://tinyurl.com/qeanconvenor.

For the last couple of years, the network has been without formal co-ordination, but we've had loads of people help out run events, fundraisers and training camps, and generally make student environmental organising in Qld grow stronger. There's now loads of energy for building QEAN, and there's never been a better time to take on a convening role within a network of groups that want to engage and help out! 

We've already had some interest in people taking on the role within a group, so if you're keen to do convening as part of a group, don't hesitate to nominate and let us know this is what you'd like to do. This year, there is a $5000 stipend to help support nominees to focus on the role a couple days a week and really make the most of it. 

To nominate for the position, please send a couple of paragraphs to myself by October 30th outlining your experience/passion, your ideas/hopes for the role and how you would prefer to do convening (on your own, in a group, with particular people).
