Hi QEAN, Ecobug & UQCfC,

   I thought some of you might be interested in ASEN's (Australian Student Environment Network) Training Camp happening in January.

  It's a great place to get skills that are really useful in activism and heaps of other places. It's also a generally pretty fun week with other amazing folk doing similar things from all over Australia.

It's pretty cheap and there will be people in Brisbane co-ordinating transport there, so if you're any way inclined to go don't let lack of funds be a barrier! Also you can fill out the survey to have some say in what the program will include. (see below)

Let me or Steve (st...@asen.org.au) know if you're interested and we'll make it happen.

ASEN Training Camp 2011
Thursday, 20 January - Wednesday, 26 January 2011

It's happening once again! The Australian Student Enviro Network is planning its annual trek to Canberra for a week of skill sharing, campaign planning, socialising, amazing food, sunshine, learning and more!

So maybe you're involved with enviro stuff on your campus...you could be an incoming enviro officer or collective convenor...
or maybe you're involved in climate activism, food co-ops, or anti-nukes campaigns...
and maybe you ...want to get skilled up, educated, empowered and connected with members of the environment movement...

If that sounds like you, then ASEN Training Camp is for you!

ASEN Training Camp is also timed to coincide with the Corroborree for Sovereignty on January 26 at the Aboriginal Tent Embassy in Canberra.

***More details will be coming soon, but if you have any questions, feel free to contact Jeanette (jeanett...@gmail.com)***

=============================

ASEN Training Camp is in its early stages of planning, which means three things:

1) We want to know what you want this one to be like! Fill out the survey here.

2) There's loads to do! Food, transport, logistics, promo, collective care, indig liaison, program, facilitating, etc. etc.! Want to help organise? Contact Jeanette (jeanett...@gmail.com).

3) If you can be a contact point for a collective and help with promo, that would be super awesome! Get in touch with Celia! (ce...@asen.org.au)
