Wanawatu Karibuni to the Stone Town Community Clean up Sunday 8th July 8.45 am

Sustainable East Africa and FAZACH – Beautiful Zanzibar Project are pleased to announce there will be a Community Clean Up in Stone Town on Sunday 8th July at 8.45 am.
We warmly invite all Stone Town businesses and residents to come and participate! Please meet outside Manispaa, Darajani at 8.45 am ready to come and help clean our community.
This is a collaborative effort with contributions from the public sector, private sector, community groups and NGOs, and individuals.
Everyone – please bring container(s) to collect rubbish
– bags, flour sacks, bins etc, and brooms, rakes, etc if you have them.
Businesses – Please encourage your staff to attend, and if possible to
bring brooms, barrows, etc.and consider further support for the programme as
outlined below.
NGOs, schools, and other groups – please spread the word and bring your team with what equipment you are able.
Please also let us know if you are able to offer the following support:
Donation or lending of equipment e.g. gloves, brooms, wheelbarrows, a bottle of water and a sunhat
Access to toilets / handwashing facilities for volunteers on the day
Printing and distribution of fliers or other publicity for the event
We are also seeking financial support and volunteers for a long-term campaign – please let us know if you are interested and would like to know more about the initiative and opportunities available.
