Recycling centre now open in Nungwi!!!

Fantastic news!! Sustainable East Africa (along with friends from Nungwi and Kendwa Jambo Zanzibar and Scuba Do) are delighted to announce that
the Green House Plastic Recycling Centre (GHPRC) is now open in Nungwi!
For details of how to find the recycle centre or, for hotels and businesses in the Nungwi area, to arrange collection, contact the centre on the number on thes attached flier.
Jutta from Jambo Zanzibar will also be helping spread the word in Nungwi and coordinate collection points - get in touch with her if you can help. Tammy and Christian at Scuba Do have supported GHPRC to connect electricity to the recycling centre, making recycling happen in Nungwi! - thank you so much for your support, Jutta, Tammy and Christian!
Plastic bottles will be chipped and exported to Dar es Salaam where the plastic will be used to make new plastic items - keeping the plastic trash from being burned and keeping taka taka off our beaches and out of the ocean. Other kinds of plastic and metal can also be taken to GHPRC - contact them for information.
