Good News!

So I was able to speak with Klaus over the phone, the guy that I was working with originally. He said that he wanted to be present for our clean up because he had an armory picked out, but he was willing to give us a different site if we really wanted to do the 20th. So, I'm meeting him on Wednesday and he's going to show me where the site is that we're going to go to. He said that Turkey hunting season just started and that it may be wise to go after 1pm on Saturday. However, we could also just wear bright clothes or something like that so that the time on the flyer is still good. I am also trying to figure out something in the way of lunch. Does EcoMiners have anything in the budget to get maybe sandwich fixings for the people that volunteer? I originally thought that the forestry would provide lunches but I was wrong.

Thoughts??

Leslie,

I do not have the information anymore, I looked. Today I made a 52 mile trip trying to find the site then also asked someone on one of the back roads. I don't know what to do now. I will try to go through my email and find a number. I think the site I had in mind south of town was the one you had already contacted them about and they said they were not available this saturday. I will keep trying, I didn't know it would be so hard to find some trash to clean up! Also, if we do find a site has anyone contacted the maintenance department on campus to see if they could load a truck?

It is past Lane Springs on the right after the bridge, I have not been there though. One of them I would have to call the guy with MODNR back.

Either that one or the one you had in mind. Where would I get off to see it?

Hey so I was thinking about going out to see the dump site this week. If it's mostly metal, we can scrap it instead of paying a disposal fee. Where is it?

Subject: OrgSync Training-RSVP BY TOMORROW

If you HAVE already arranged for a member of your organization to attend an OrgSync Training session you may disregard this email.

If you have NOT arranged for a member of your organization to attend an OrgSync Training session you need to read this email and RSVP.

All RSOs will be using OrgSync in place of the current RSO web application that maintains rosters. Currently to maintain RSO Compliance organization leaders must regularly update their roster, this system will be taking the place of the outdated web application. In addition, student organizations whose websites are currently hosted on the StuCo servers will be transitioning their websites into OrgSync as the servers are phased out.

Because this is a new system and requires your engagement as student leaders to make it successful we need you to attend one of two training sessions that will be offered by an on campus representative from OrgSync.  All RSOs must send at minimum one representative for their group but no more than three to address space needs. We are planning on using this system for the foreseeable future, so understanding how it works is very important. We suggest sending any newly elected leaders, or whomever may be planning on running for positions to ease the transition phase.

Training sessions will be held as follows:

Monday, April 8th
6:30pm - 8:30pm
St. Pats Ballrooms

Tuesday, April 9th
6:30pm - 8:30pm
Carver/Turner

A special Greek Life session for Greek Lettered Social Fraternities and Sororities will be hosted on Monday, April 4th, from 4:00-5:15pm in St. Pat’s Ballroom.

Please RSVP for the training date you plan to attend, what organization you are with, and include the number of representatives you are sending to benjami...@mst.edu by Thursday, April 4th. You may attend as a representative for more than one organization.

We encourage all attendees to bring a laptop or tablet so that you are able to follow along, create content, and see your organization in the system. This will provide you with the opportunity to ask questions of the campus consultant from OrgSync and take full advantage of the training.

Learn more about OrgSync, the on campus trainings, and what OrgSync can do for you as an individual and RSO at studentlife.mst.edu/orgsync.

Do not hesitate to ask any questions, feel free to come by the SILC and talk to me if you’d like a sneak peek at the system!

Personally, I can't meet in the afternoon on Saturday, but I also don't want anyone to get hurt doing our clean up...

As for lunch, we could either end around 11:30 to give people time to go get lunch, or we could do something small. Since we haven't heard back from SAFB on funding (as far as I know), I think the only money we have is from mug sales. I have just over $60 from that, does anyone else have money they collected?

That is good news. I realized that turkey hunting started today. The time of day should be determined considering the location of the site. How far is the site and what did he say is the content percentages?
