Hey everyone,
Thanks so much to all who showed up this past Saturday! We hit a record amount of volunteers (almost 30!) and made great progress on building this urban farm. I plan to upload lots of pictures from it and hope to get you all a link to it soon. Until then enjoy the attached picture of a fresh watermelon break.
This week we'll be finishing our endwalls on the hoophouses, hooking up another fresh hanging water system, seeding up trays like crazy, and adding more beds to the farm. We'd love to see you this Thursday from 8a-12p and Saturday 9a-3p.
And if you missed NPR this morning, Vinnie was interviewed about our other urban agriculture site: the Cherry Hill Composting Facility. Check it out!
Finally, we are looking for volunteers that could help us keep up with the watering. We usually take Sundays off for some rest but should keep these beds watered, and Tuesdays/Thursdays are sometimes hard for us in the late afternoon. If you think you could help us, it'd be much appreciated.
Thanks again to you all for your support and sweat. We couldn't do this without your help.
Peace,
Christian and Vinnie
