I think the age of military service should be raised to 21 because at 18 you're fresh out of high school with little experience.

Personally I don't have a problem with the limit of being 18. I know several people that joined the military about that age, simply because they didn't know what direction in life they wanted. The military will not only give them a life, but it will create discipline. Perhaps I feel this way because I'm a child to parents who once served in the military.

in some ways i feel that the age limit is ok and in some situations i don't.  for instance, you can join the military at 18 but you cant drink or own a handgun until you are 21. so basically they are saying you are old enough to risk your life for your country but your not old enough to buy alcohol or own a handgun. Its kind of messed up.

I do not believe the service age should be raised to 21.  I grew up with a father who served in the military for 23 years, and have always lived in a military town.  My father and many of my friends joined the military fresh out of high school.  One can argue that they have "little experience" but neither do the ones who moved away from home to go to college.  Sometimes the military is the best thing for a person who could very easily could go down the wrong path, and just have no where else to go.  The military teaches discipline, and gives people a life they wouldn't have had otherwise.
