Cutting taxes reduces government revenues, which creates a budget deficit. To counter this deficit, the government could cut spending.

Tax cuts are hurtful in a way because when the government cuts taxes, they are cutting one of their main sources of income. The general public and tax payers may enjoy it, but this means that the government has to search for or invent/come up with another source of revenue.

When they give us a tax break they just make it up somewhere else. Like cutting benefits to military personnel and the elderly. Its like physics for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

yea they will just do something like they are now like making military and gov workers take a day off a week for a set amount a week to cut gov spending.

Tax cuts can be helpful to the general public, but harmful to the government.  The government uses tax dollars for roads, public services, and military.  Less money would be going towards these types of things.

Yes cutting taxes are harmful, because like the post above it retrains the amount of money the government can use to help community.

Well since we are in MAJOR debt, I'm just going to say, putting less money towards that debt is a bad idea.  Also cutting many can cause unbalance to the already tight budget.  I think it is much more important to balance the budget and use every penny wisely than to cut from it.

Like everyone has said, cutting taxes cuts a portion of the governments income.  When the governments income is cut they have to make it up by cutting spending in another department.  While these other departments can suffer, the government usually has a reason to do this.  When the economy is suffering the government will cut taxes to increase spending and try to boost the economy.  There are always pros and cons to the governments spending, budget cuts, and tax breaks; while some departments may thrive others may suffer.

When cutting taxes, you increase the governments gross intake in the long run. This is because when you stimulate a economy, business becomes more profitable, and people spend more because of lower prices and higher wages. However, to answer your question: Since taxes are fundamentally designed to accomplish good and necessary things in society, any reduction in tax revenue can be said to reduce the amount of good the government can accomplish.

A tax cut is harmful for the government and for us, too. If we get a tax cut every year, then our federal return is reduced. And the more and more the tax is cut, the less money we get back.

The government has enough money to dominate the world.  Why exactly do we have such a deficit?  Oh wait.  Its not real.  We made it up.  Because we forgot that we drew the lines on the map we haven't realized it in a while but hats basically it. To me anyways.

That is a dicey question, in which it can be like a double edge sword. Meaning it has its pros as well as its cons. It is often seen good by many due the idea of sharing the wealth. But many believe cutting taxes for the rich takes money away from the federal government, in other words they are cutting one of their primary source of income.

Tax cuts can be hurtful to mainly the governments, which gain revenue by taxing and in return provide services. If there are tax cuts, some of the services we enjoy may go away.

Tax cuts are bad because when we're giving less money to the government, the government has less money to put into things that they're giving to us (military, social services, etc)
