ECMO in aluminium phosphide poisoning

We have performed VA ECMO in 12 case of aluminium phosphide poisoning since sep 2013, who either had severe LV dysfunction or peripheral circulatory faiure. 7 out of 12 patients survived.

Could you please compile the data of these cases and send abstract to IJCCM,for possible publication upon review.

We need to publish our Indian Data.IJCCM is on Pub med so it wont be a waste of your effort.

Dr venkat and Oza have been compiling data of Indian ECMO and also reporting/sharing with   international registry ELSO(extra corporeal life support organization)

Dear uday 

It is a commendable performance. We had got only one case of celphos poisoning which we could save 2 years ago. But since celphos poising is not common in maharashtra we do not get that many cases. But - I always ‎wanted to do a large series of ecmo in celphos poisoning, as -I have seen them passing off during my residency days in SMS Jaipur. I wish you could present this data in our fothcomming conference of ECMO in august.

Dear Dr Vivek,

We are organizing ECMO training course in the later half of august. We would like if you can present your data on celphos poisoning during that time. I will send you the detailed program soon. Can you send me the abstract of your case series for my reference & your statistics if possible. I have my lecture recently in Gujarat on ECMO in ICU & will like to put two slides on role of ECMO in poisoning, I would like to put your series with your name & your institute name (if you permit). There are lot of celphos poisoning cases in north & Gujarat & you know very well the mortality associated with it, so your data will be of great help in managing such patient & saving few lives. We hardly see this patient in Mumbai & as I told you during the Delhi conference that we have managed only 2 patient out of which one survived. Also send the details of your ECMO team & web site address of your institute to be upgraded in ECMO society of India website.
