New Year's Greetings!

Dear Eclipse Rising family,

We hope you all had rejuvenating moments with your loved ones to kick off the new year! We just wanted to say hello - we're still here doing well despite all the challenges. 😁🤗😍

In 2021, Eclipse Rising has emerged from the lockdown to re-center ourselves and recommit to our precious community, starting with ourselves. Desun, Haruki, and Miho took a camping trip up in the "Lost Coast" of California, farther north of Eureka. As you see in the photo below, we hiked in an old-growth forest called Fern Canyon, where we encountered enormous redwood trees - dead and alive! Like dead trees keep giving nutrition to the forest ecosystem, our ancestors continue to guide and energize us. Through this journey, we learned once again that we generate power beyond comprehension when we come together.

Also, we have recently welcomed two new members, Daiki and Haejung! They both have deep roots across the diaspora, with unique stories that reflect the diversity of Zainichi Koreans today. If you know any Zainichi individuals, please let them know about us. Haruki will be revamping our website (eclipserising.org) this year, and we also hope to expand our social media presence. 

With the spiritual journey and two new members, we are more empowered than ever.
