The Eclipse Festival starts in one week. Updates will be posted to this page:
Eclipse Festival Theme: Software Projects
This Eclipse Festival will have a theme: the development and testing of new software for data collection and analysis. You can still collect data with fldigi or Audacity using the
procedures from previous events if you prefer, or try something new, like recording Doppler shift directly with
GNU Radio and an SDR. I'll be keeping a list of software projects with links on the website: if you have a project you'd like to add to that list, let me know. Keep an eye on the webpage for opportunities to help with project testing.

WWV/H Test Signal
If you have good reception of WWV or WWVH, you'll be able to hear a special test signal (announced by yours truly!) at 8 minutes (WWV) and 48 minutes (WWVH) past the hour. This is part of a joint effort between NIST and HamSCI to increase these stations' scientific utility. The test signal started on November 15 and will run for the next couple of months. Details on this effort can be found here:
www.hamsci.org/wwv
I may send some email updates in the next few days, and will send my usual reminders for the start and end of data collection. Looking forward to it!
