Unable to run the installer on Mac

After I downloaded the eclim_2.8.0.bin into the Downloads folder, I fail to open the install. Everytime I attempt to open the installer, the error "Unable to expand "eclim_2.8.0.bin". It is an unsupported format." pops up. When I try to type the command ./eclim_2.8.0.bin , but still cannot make it. What shall I do to install eclim?
