The HD-Frontend.exe is the Bluestacks UI process and is highlighted yellow because it has loaded the .NET framework. There are a number of other processes associated with Bluestacks and most are also .NET.
While BlueStack's site does not list any system requirements for its emulator that I could find, at least a couple sites -- e.g. Bazooka Apps and Android Emulator for PC -- mention .NET as a requirement.
its an emulation tool whose job is to read the dex code respond to that how the android phone should respond and not to compile and run that dex so it could be on python or ruby also there is no boundation at all that you have to make android emulator on java becuase android is built upon java.
I posted earlier that I wondered if anyone had loaded an Android Emulator onto their desktop PC in order to run the Arlo App? Since the videos will not play on a PC running Windows 10 with any web browser that I have found the only way to play them on a PC is to download them and use VLC Media Player or similar which is additional, completely unnecessary in my opinion, steps and it's starting to get old. The videos play just fine on the Android smart phone so I was wondering if the Android mobile app will work the same on my PC as it does on my phone or if the HEVC video issue will cause the same problem when using the emulator.
I did do this and it's relatively impressive. I installed BlueStacks which is Android Emulator software (free) which was built for running android games on a PC. Then I downloaded the Arlo mobile app just like you would do on your smart phone. For BlueStacks to properly run the Arlo videos I had to jump through some hoops and get into the BIOS of my PC to enable "virtualization technology" which was kind of a pain but now I can watch the Pro 3 videos on my PC without a problem (full screen) and I don't have to download them and watch on VLC media player or similar. Only problem is if deleting a large amount of videos I still log on to the Arlo website which is much easier than doing them one at a time on the Android Emulator but for just a few the Android Emulator works just like your phone.
I might try to post more on this but it's kind of cool right now that I can just buzz through a bunch of videos without downloading them. Also all the information (date, time, etc.) can be seen on the videos when using the emulator. And another thing is you don't have to log out and it won't time out (or it hasn't yet) and the Arlo 3 monitor screens are much larger now when using the emulator than when logged onto the Arlo website to view the cameras.
For personalized support specific to the Arlo products you own, access Support from within the Arlo iOS or Android App. Simply login to your Arlo App, go to Settings, Support, then select the Arlo product you would like support for.
Recently i bought a acer nitro 5 laptop equipped with amd R5 3550H vega 8 , graphics card Rx 560x. However, even after i enable the hyper v in my bios, those android emulators keep reminding me to enable the hyper-v. Any solutions?
When you want to play an android game, what do you do? Most would whip out their android phone or tablet and play away, but what if you do not own an android device, what do you do then? You do what I do and run an emulator.
When I first went out looking for an android emulator, I found maybe 3 that were really anything to look at. Out of the three, one was too complicated, the other to limited, but the last one was just right. It is this last one that I wish to talk to you about today.
Bluestacks is an android emulation dream. It is easy to install, and easy to use. It emulates a generic android using Ice Cream Sandwich, setup and allows you to install games and applications with ease. In fact if you have an apk file downloaded, just double click on it and the player will start and automatically add the app to the players list and it is installed.
You do get the use of your mouse, and keyboard which is great, but there are no multi-point touching available, and pinch and zoom is not easy. Joysticks are a life saver and integrate wonderfully with this emulator. I bought one around Christmas time and it works better in the emulator than on windows itself.
On my desktop pc I was able to integrate my webcam into the emulator with no troubles, but on my Asus T-100 the built in camera did not work at all. I was not happy and searched online for a fix, but there simply is not one out there. I did just recently learn that if I plugged in a USB cam into the T-100 the cam worked flawlessly.
Now for a bit of bad news, the newest version of the application has a bit of nag ware added to it: nothing evil just some limitations on installing outside apk files to the emulation. It does however allow for non-standard installations, such as putting the bulk of the installation on a different hard drive. Like any new development, there are costs involved and in this case, it is well worth the price.
The standard Bluestacks installation will give you an android environment that will consist of about 2 gigs or storage on the phone and the rest of the remaining space for pictures and music. The interface is ok, but not pretty. There are mods out there that will add more storage space and some that will root the application and double the storage space available. Some will even go beyond that. Those that do give full root availability and give you the ability to add a custom launcher for a real tablet/ phone look and feel. I can only say that the programs out there that do the rooting can have some undesired side effects. I tired one out that put everything into Russian, and I had to install an apk that altered the root language. Others will limit abilities and disallow any updates from the original makers. Aside from that it is taking credit away from the original makers and putting it into the hands or hackers.
In the end it is up to you to decide. I for one love the program and believe that it is wonderful. I have spent many an hour playing with it on my desktop and also on my wonderful touch screen T-100 tablet from Asus. I can honestly say it is the best android emulator I have ever used and it does the emulation wonderfully.
I have the AC app on my iPhone. On the iPhone, if I select Chart, ActiveCaptain automatically brings up my LakeVu g3 map of Lake Murray, SC. Also, if I launch Navionics Chart Viewer on my PC, Chart Viewer brings up my map of Lake Murray. However, if I launch ActiveCaptain on the PC and go to Chart, I get a blank yellow screen. In essence, a blank map.
Sorry to hijack this question.. Could use some help though I cant get it to load past the splashscreen, but I am using windows 11 android subsystem. Did you do anything special on bluestacks to make it run?
