Hi everyone,
Late last night, I completed all of the assessments for this course. I
must say, I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of projects. More
importantly, I am incredibly pleased at your comments regarding how
far many of you have come to understand social networks, web 2.0,
social learning, personal learning, and many of the other concepts
that we have discussed in this course. I believe many of you have
really come to see the power of technology in teaching and learning,
and are now doing this in your contexts, and also helping others
engage in new pedagogy.

I think, overall, the course has been a success. I know of things I
would have changed on my behalf. One would have been a better
mechanism to give you feedback throughout the course (in terms of
grades). I know there will certainly be others.

In the next couple of weeks, I am hoping to take a closer look at what
we have done there, and how it applies to online learning, and my own
understanding of pedagogy. I will be sending out a voluntary survey
looking for honest feedback. Everything will be kept confidential, and
I will assure anonymity. I would also like to follow up with
interviews. More information will follow. I am hoping that you will be
interested in participating. Again, your participation is voluntary.

I have your assessments ready. To receive some feedback and your
unofficial grade, please email me directly at alec....@uregina.ca
Please do not reply to this email, or you may be sending it to the
whole group. I want to make sure this information is kept
confidential. Also, if you would like a discussion of your grade, if
you feel that it is too high or too low, let me know. I worked hard to
try to come to a number that is accurate as possible.

Thanks again for your participation in this course. I really
appreciate what we have done here. I am hoping that you will continue
blogging. I will be looking to connect with many of you in the future.

All the best!
Alec
