Happy Wednesday everyone! We hope that your 2021 has been off to a great start.


The West Contra Costa Public Education Fund is happy to announce that our Scholarship Application for the 2021-2022 school year is now OPEN! Graduating seniors attending a public high school within the West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) are eligible to apply by March 10, 2021 as long as they:

  1. Demonstrate financial need

  2. Complete the FAFSA/Dream Act Application by the March 2, 2021 Cal Grant deadline (if eligible)

and

  1. Plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year institution immediately after graduating from high school.


*Please see below for additional scholarship requirements*


  1. Contra Costa Chorale Vocal Music Studies Scholarship- $1000 per student for 1 year, 2 awards available

    1. Open to all WCCUSD seniors who have participated in high school choir programs and/or other musical performances (instrumentalists may also apply if they accompany choirs)

    2. Minimum 3.2 GPA

    3. 2 letters of recommendation

  2. Schroeder Family Foundation Scholarship- $2000 per student for 1 year, 2 awards available

    1. Must be an El Cerrito High School senior identifying as a student of color

    2. Minimum 3.0 GPA

  3. STEM Scholarship- $1000 per student for 1 year, 2 awards available

    1. Open to all Richmond High and Kennedy High seniors pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics + Economics) career 

    2. Minimum 3.5 GPA 

    3. 2 letters of recommendation
