Sad News from ECHS

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the unexpected passing of one of our beloved El Cerrito High School staff members, Mr. Greg Ollano. Greg worked in the JMP for the past 15 years, and was instrumental in ensuring students at El Cerrito had access to vital health and wellness services. This unexpected news is a shock to our entire community. We extend our deepest condolences to the Ollano family and all who are affected by this heartbreaking loss.
We understand this news may be difficult for many of our students, staff and families, and we want to reassure you that we are here to support you. District support staff will be on campus to provide counseling services and support for any students, families, or staff members as long as it is needed.
Please encourage your children to reach out to a trusted adult if they need someone to talk to, and know that we are here to offer support to you, as well. During this challenging time, we ask that you keep Mr. Ollano’s family in your thoughts.
