INVITATION] UC Berkeley PASS College Talks

Dear El Cerrito High School Counselors,
I hope this email finds you well!
My name is Kyle Vincent Balingit and I am the Outreach Coordinator for Pilipinx Academic Student Services (PASS) at UC Berkeley. We are a student-led organization committed to recruit and retain underrepresented students in higher education. As Outreach Coordinator, I specifically provide support for high school students who are interested in applying to college.
I am reaching out to you because I am hosting a workshop series called College Talks. Each workshop will cover a specific topic that will hopefully help high school students feel less anxious and more prepared for college. Some events that I would like to highlight are the workshops specifically for undocumented students and first-generation students of color. All attendees have to do is register for the workshop(s) they are interested in attending and I will be sending out the Zoom link to registered students the week of the workshop.

While our organization as a whole focuses mainly on Pilipinx and Pilipinx-American students, our Outreach programs are open to all students! Workshops are mostly held on Thursdays at 4 PM and the deadline to register is two days prior to each workshop, and we’ll be starting on October 21st. Even if they are unable to attend the first workshop, we will have three more throughout this semester! :)
