Dear ECHS Teachers, Parents, and Community Members,

The Black Student Union (BSU) is excited to announce our annual Toy Drive supporting the wonderful children right here at Fairmont Elementary School in El Cerrito! For many families, the holidays can be a challenging time, and your generosity can make a huge difference in ensuring every child has a gift to open.

We are collecting donations of new toys for children ranging from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 6th grade. Your kindness will help us brighten the holidays for hundreds of students.

Important Donation Guidelines

To ensure safety and fair distribution, please note these two critical requirements for your donation:
  • New Toys Only: All items must be new and unused.

  • Please Do Not Wrap Gifts: We ask that all donations be left unwrapped. This allows parents and volunteers to ensure all cultures are celebrated (and that gifts are age-appropriate).

  • Age Range: TK–6th grade

Drop-Off Details

  • Location: F105 (Ms. Jun’s Classroom)

  • Dates: November 10 – December 9, 2025

  • Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pick-up Service Available! If you cannot drop off your donation, please email Ms. Jun to arrange a pick-up. Our volunteers will come to you!

Contact Ms. Jun: sj...@wccusd.net

Distribution Day: When the Toys Go to the Kids!

We want to share the joyful moment your donations are delivered to the children at Fairmont Elementary School:

  • Date: December 11th

  • Time: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM

  • Location: Fairmont Elementary School

Whether you donate a small board game, a new doll, or a creative art kit, every single item helps spread holiday cheer and brings a smile to a child's face.

Thank you in advance for supporting our neighborhood students and making this holiday season truly special.

Warmly,

Savanna Baptiste

President, Black Student Union (BSU)
