2026 ECHS Graduates

The WCCUSD Retired Educators Scholarship is available at www.wccrescholarship.org

All district seniors in the top half of their graduating class may apply for this scholarship.  Annually about 40 seniors have received this award for their higher 2 or 4 year college or trade school education.  Last year 14 Gauchos were honored with a $2500 (twenty five hundred) check. On the above website you will find information, the application, a scoring criteria sheet used by readers, letter of recommendation (LOR) forms, and contact information.

In addition to the Retired Educators Scholarship, there is an opportunity to have this same application be considered for other scholarships.  If you are interested in this opportunity there is a box on page 2 to be checked to permit this application sharing.  The Bailey Family Legacy Foundation Scholarship reads this application and determines the awardees for their scholarship while the WCCRE will determine the Gauchos to receive the Retired Educators awards.    

The completed application with typed signature on application, essay and 2 letters of recommendation is due Friday March 13, 2026 to Marilyn O'Brian at obrian...@gmail.com.  The complete application must be submitted at one time, although the LOR may come in separately but by 3/13/1026 from the recommenders.  The applications giving permission to share will be forwarded by Ms. O'Brian.
