Hope you’re well! My name is Jessica and I'm the Program Head at Inspirit AI, the middle and high school artificial intelligence summer program taught by Stanford/MIT graduates. We are thrilled to launch a 1:1 individual AI research project mentoring program this summer for students with an interest in applying computational skills to an area of their interest such as healthcare, mobility, law, engineering, psychology, and more! We would love to invite students at El Cerrito High School to participate in this immersive summer research experience. The program includes:
  • 10 one-on-one mentorship sessions with an experienced AI research mentor from Stanford, MIT, or a leading university with industry or lab experience.
  • Guided research experience from dataset selection, to visualization and AI modeling culminating in a portfolio-ready research paper.
  • Science fair preparation: resources to advance the project further for a science fair event, high school journal submission, etc.
  • AI+X Researcher Certification: students who complete the 1:1 mentorship program are also eligible to receive an AI + X Researcher Certificate.
We would appreciate it if you could share the short program note below with families from grades 8 to 12. Students may apply here by May 31st to begin summer mentorship!

Summer 2022 1:1 AI Research Project Mentorship Program with Stanford/MIT Mentors

In this 10-hour individualized program, students work with an expert 1:1 mentor to carry out independent research and solve a real-world problem that they find interesting by crafting a computationally-integrated AI project. Inspirit’s AI mentors from Stanford, MIT, and leading universities guide students through the entire research process, from targeted domain research and project proposal to a culminating scientific paper and final research project. Please apply here by May 31st for summer sessions that start on or after June 10. Independent Project Mentorship Flyer

Warmly,
