Using a stream for song recognition

Hi,

I was looking through the github page and i saw an example for the song recognition on the codegen page and they did it like this: 

/echoprint-codegen billie_jean.mp3 10 30

but i was wondering if there is a way that instead of billie_jean.mp3 if i can also put a stream that i already have and send that. the problem is i want to create a chrome extension and i cant save any files.
