Greetings Emerald Coast Homebrewers and beer fans!
Regretfully, our forum and website continue to be down and at last word, may be down for good. Once again, this proves the old adage that you get what you pay for. This is the second time our free-site has crashed and we lost everything. At our January meeting, we decided that it’s time to give ECHO a more stable platform. Kapn Ken has a lot of experience with the Panama City Parrot-heads, so he’s looking into web hosting services and costs. Consequently, we decided that it’s time to come up with a budget and very nominal annual dues to sustain our domain name and website. This will provide us the ability to maintain a calendar, forum, and archive for projects, events, and recipes. We also plan to set out our tip jar at public tasting events to help finance club activities and projects. At our next meeting, Ken will give us the results of his research and we’ll map out a way forward and plan our next few month’s events.
Our next club event will be:
ECHO BBQ, Apps & Beer
4 Feb 2012, 3pm until…
Lynn Haven
Got an App for that? Bring your favorite appetizer and latest homebrew creation for a Saturday afternoon get-together E-mail Ken at Kapn’ Ken’s house in Lynn Haven. Ken will be smoking his famous Boston Butts to compliment your appetizers and beer. Please bring your brew buddies and your ideas for our website and future brew events. RSVP via ECHO Facebook page or contact Ken at soulsearcher@.att.net for address and directions.
Until we resolve the website issue, our primary communication venue is Facebook with ECHO-gram back-ups. Feel free to contact me with questions or issues.
