bug: echinus does not respect sizehints when drawing a terminal

When using the terminal drawing feature, the sizehints are being
ignored resulting in a terminal window with a dead area.
This should be respected.
If I find the time, I'll work on a patch tomorrow.
Btw: someone's writing a Gentoo ebuild for echinus :)
