echinus supports (and will support) only a small subset of EWMH specification.
so, if some app tells you "your wm sucks, I need two quadrillions of properties
on root window to operate", then you have two options:

1) drop this app
2) switch to another wm

And remember, it was NOT me who told you:

- echinus is the best wm for any use
- echinus is better then dwm/xmonad/ion3/awesome etc.
- you don't need to patch echinus for your needs
- there're no bugs
- echinus will support EWMH
- alghorithms used are good
- code is suckless.org-compliant
- you should run it in GNOME or KDE
- you sholud use it with xcompmgr
- I'll kill you if you send patches
- I'm working on echinus now
- I'm working on echinus at all
- I'll fix this bug
- ifloating works
