I have extracted the core components of the ECHI-Converter into a Ruby
library called echi_files which may be found here:
http://jsgoecke.github.com/echi_files/
The library allows one to take an ASCII or Binary file from an Avaya
CMS External Call History Interface (ECHI) and convert it into a Ruby
hash for further processing. Examples may be found in the README here:
http://github.com/jsgoecke/echi_files/tree/master/README.textile
The idea behind release this as a library is that others may then
simply get a Ruby hash back and do with it as they like without all
that comes with the ECHI-Converter. Further, if using JRuby you also
leverage Java if preferred in your enterprise.
