Job Description
The Sr. Oracle Application DBA (E-Business Suite) is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of Oracle e-Business Suite R12 (12.1.3, OTM 5.3) applications. The DBA performs engineering functions for multiple large databases. The DBA partners with technical and business groups to ensure that database performance standards adhere to enterprise service level agreements.
Essential Functions
. Provides expert level support to investigate and troubleshoot production issues related with E-business Suite applications, Oracle database and Oracle Exadata machines.
. Performs daily system monitoring activities to include verifying the integrity and availability of Exadata machines and E-business suite application server resources
. Supports the architecture and process of Oracle 11g EBS 12.1.3
. Supports ERP developers for custom coding, code migration, interface design, XML publisher reporting, SQL procedures and concurrent requests; and creates shell/SQL scripts, packages, and stored procedures to manipulate data
. Provides Oracle application systems administration including user account management and maintenance e.g., assigning printers, configuring and monitoring Concurrent Manager (CM) queues, scheduling jobs, setting up profile options and setup/configuration/administration of Oracle alerts and work flow mailer
. Evaluates, recommends and serves as POC for software and hardware for database, Oracle ERP applications, BI-Apps solutions and other third party products
. Performs installations, configurations, upgrades, and advanced clone/patching of Oracle ERP applications, Oracle RDBMS, 12c Grid Control Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and Weblogic (configure and setup of load balancing, fault tolerance and PCP)
. Provide installation, configuration and administration other third party products integrated with E-business Suite and execute all apps DBA tasks
. Participates, reviews and leads disaster recovery exercises and planning, and all Exadata migration activities
Job Requirements
Full lifecycle Oracle 11i/R12 implementation/upgrade project completion in an application DBA role
5+ years' experience as an Oracle Applications DBA in a multi-tier environment
Experience with Oracle application patching, cloning, SSL & load balancing configuration, administrative utilities and Oracle BI-Apps configuration administration
Experience with backup/recovery, sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning, diagnostics, TAR management and proficient with the use of Oracle's Enterprise Manager tool
