Hi Mariano,

Happy new year. I would be so appreciative if you address my following requests:

1. I found a lot of ECG apps that do not work but I hope I can run your code finally. I use MATLAB 2017a and have some problems with GUI as other users reported in this forum. Could you please specify how I can call QRS detection and classification from command line without using GUI?

2. You mentioned in the ecg-kit website that this great tool is the output of your PHD dissertation and Postdoc. I would love to read it. Could you please share it with me?

3. As I want to use your code, could you please specify a reference that report the performance of your code on popular ECG benchmarks?

4. Why did not you cover the premature atrial contractions like ventricular one in your code?

Best regards,
Reza Sadeghi

Sorry to hear that you have problems that you can not work around, maybe we can try to figure out whats going on. Regarding to the command line, just a few tasks have associated a GUI, the correction tasks (detection and segmentation), and the heartbeat classifier. The rest of the toolkit is mostly command line. For QRS detection, you have a couple of examples in the example folder. The classification is also included in the same examples, but maybe you have some bug regarding with the GUI. Give me some example that you are trying in order to help you.

As you can see in my papers, PAC's and VPC's are both premature, but they originates in different parts of the heart, PAC's are commonly referred as supraventricular (S class). Then AAMI recommendation suggests 5 classes (N, V, S, F and Q).

Good luck and keep me updated about your progress.

Best,
M.
