CNT in batteries

A while back I met another electrical engineer in a bar and of course the topic of choice was the bottleneck of most devices. Both of us agreed that the biggest limitation (ie most prevalent) was batter life. Him being out in the industry and more experienced than I told me about carbon nanotubes being used in facilitation of charge storage, thus creating better batteries. This inspired me to read articles about CNT's and batteries and of course I understood exactly nothing about anything I read, which lead me to read this article:
Chapter 2 of this paper goes over briefly how SWNT's MWNT's would be used with lithium or hydrogen to increase battery efficiency.

It seems that recently, there is more talk about replacing the graphite that is already used as the anode. This review of CNT's and li ion batteries is a very good explanation of how this works:
