Dear all,
If any faculty/ME/BE student is interested in doing research in IIT-M, please tell them to attend the meeting to be held at 2.00 pm on 11/10/14 (Saturday) at Central Lecture Theater, IIT Madras. Also please give me a feedback how many students/faculty are likely to attend the meeting. This is a good opportunity for our staff/students to know what are the requirements/expectations for doing research in IIT. Please inform all your faculty and students regarding this.

PanIIt Alumni Leadership Series (PALS) program is not new to you and it does not require any special introduction . We had met and coordinated with you during some of our previous programs . The current series (PALS4) is already underway with a variety of events .
"Research @ IITM " is one such program organised by PALS4 with active support , assistance and inputs from senior faculty of IIT Madras. The program is to take place on 11/10/2014 (Saturday ) between 2 and 4 PM at Central Lecture Theatre - IITM . The Dean - Academic Research and senior faculty will be presenting the various research opportunities at IITM , the benefits of doing research at IIT , eligibility criteria and other matters in this regard.
With increased thrust given to Research at IITs and the facility to pursue Ph.D directly after B.Tech, , we thought it appropriate that we bring this program to colleges like yours . This is open for both faculty and students who want to pursue Ph.D. The participation is free and a maximum of 5 participants can come from your college. Kindly confirm participation by Thursday (9/10/2014).
