Dear Prof. Bhat,
First of all, many thanks for your great gesture and gracious hospitality during my visit to Manipal last month.
It was an amazing experience meeting you and my other respected professors/staff and was completely humbled to receive your wholehearted attention - be it through the MIT presentation at college or by the tour to Manipal.edu building, Marena, or end-point.
My parents were also completely overwhelmed to receive such sincere attention from you all and were really proud of my alma mater. Also, it was definitely great to see, that MIT has been evolving significantly and garnering world-wide attention, thanks to
all of your dedicated efforts!
Regarding my contribution, surely I can build up a stronger network of working individuals (compared to the uni students as lists attached), who are mostly based in Europe and whom I am in direct contact with. Please give me time until end of this month
and I will send you the first compilation of ex-MIT students, who will be more than willing to assist current batch of MIT students who would like to learn more about exchange programs, European internships or professional advices from any of us. As a starting
point, you can share my linkedin profile (
https://www.linkedin.com/profile/public-profile-settings?trk=prof-edit-edit-public_profile) with any of your students, who wants to learn anything about unis or life in Germany/EU. Needless to say, I am super-eager
to get connected with them and assist in the best possible way I can.
Also, as mentioned I can assist in getting FREE uni licenses for our labs of EDA tools used for simulations, synthesis and layout designs through my old network from Synopsys (
http://www.synopsys.com/home.aspx), where I worked as an Applications Engineer
in India.
Moreover, please find attached a few snapshots with you, which definitely made my trip super memorable. I could not stop talking to my friends here, about the greatest reception I received from you all! :)
Also, please feel free to be my guest whenever any of you are visiting Germany, I will be delighted to host you at my place in Munich!
Nevertheless, thanks a lot again for all your great support and looking forward to develop a much stronger and productive MIT Alumni network in Europe.
Best Regards,
Sudhanshu

P.S: My sincere apologies for delay in response to your mail, as I reached Munich yesterday only and before that was traveling a lot further in India and hence, could not pen my thoughts constructively to you before.
Dear Sudanshu Kapoor,
It was nice talking to you on your visit to MIT after your graduation in the year 2005.
1. Attached are the data bases created by some of our alumni studying abroad. Please help us to create a similar list through your contact
2. Also let us know in what way you can contribute to the progress of the department and better learning experience for your juniors.
Thanks
With regards,
Dr Somashekara Bhat
