actualy i ve got varistor library but i cant fig out as to which varistor should be used for 1k rheostst

THE SIDE 2 of the pot is always grounded or is it side 3

there is a pot in the cdt lib. use that.. connect any 2 adjacent sides of the pot to the connecting wires... leave the 3rd one.. pot can be used as a var. res. in this way..

u'll have to surely include input pins in the circuit...
as for the routing of brd, first learn how to place components at the correct place and angle... it makes routing easier..
