I think having a cello in the band adds a lot of musical umph to the lower notes and rhythmic base of the tune.
Northwoods is a contra dance band based in Boston MA.
Northwoods also plays for English Country Dance occasionally.
Casey Murray on guitar and cello, Molly Tucker on fiddle, Sam Zakon-Anderson on piano.
They're playing "Highland Farewell" for a dance at the 2026 Flurry Festival.
