Dear Fellow Democrats,
I imagine most of you are pretty distressed about Kavanaugh being confirmed to the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, as both parties have often said, elections have their consequences, and this is it. When one party gets elected and has control over [particularly] the Senate, they can do what they want with nominations to the courts. And we are seeing the consequences of those appointments. This is ultimately the consequence of people not voting for our candidates or going to a third party.
Now is our time to get mad and get even. It’s time to get out and work for our candidates and make sure that every democratic voter is aware and gets to the polls. We have great candidates to support in East Cobb:
Lucy McBath Sixth Congressional District https://lucyforcongress.com/about/
Christine Triebsch GA Senate Dist 32 https://www.christineforga.com/
Luisa Wakeman GA House Dist 43 https://www.electluisa.com/
Essence Johnson GA Gouse Dist 45 https://www.essencejohnson.com/

Everybody needs your help!
Door knocking
Phone calls
Post cards.
Miscellaneous office work
Every little bit helps; there is something for just about anybody to do.
CDW is having a candidate support night at Golden Corral on Cobb Parkway in Smyrna on Thursday evening, Oct 11.
Don’t Be Surprised: There are 8 issues on the ballot that have not been talked about. Learn about them here:
A copy of the booklet with each proposal and a summary is available online as well as at the state’s probate courts. To request a printed version in the mail, call the Secretary of State’s Office at 404-656-2881 or email sosco...@sos.ga.gov.
Don’t be in the position of saying to yourself, “If only I’d….” Contact a campaign and help, even if it is just licking stamps! It takes a lot more than just voting to get our candidates elected.
Thanks for all you do!
Sincerely,
RuthE Levy, Chair
East cobb Democratic Association
