Dear Members,
There is growing concern from many people who would like to attend the
convention in Burundi next year that it is not practical to go back to
Burundi after the student retreat in december. Is it too late to
change? most of the people who will attend the december retreat are
the same people who will attend the april convention.

Hi you all,

Think it a good idea if we moved it to another country based on the reasons given. The second runners up after Burundi perhaps.

Blessings

Janet

Dear professionals hi,

I cannot say anything before a decision be taken by PAD Burundi.
It's better to wait until the Burundi young professionals meet and then deliberate!

Nice day!

Halo people,

The concerns are genuine, let the Council members take it from here and give us the decision.

Dear Beloved of y Father;

Am glad to hear from you as concerns this matter. However, allow me to be of a differnt oppinion. Am not sure that that's a sufficient reason to change the convention of the AAYP to a different country. The Deceber convention is not the AAYP programme; it has nothing at all to do with AAYP-students Retreat. I thought we were planning a retreat of the Young Proffesionals and not Students?

As a matter of fact, I know that people like New Life AAYP (which currently is the only Local Chapter in the entire Division) will be having their End Year Retreat in Lake Bogoria-Kenya.

My take on the matter is  to let Burundi host the AAYP Convention. The council and the rest of us should be concerned with how to make the Convention a success rather than how to change the Venue.

Mbarikiwe jameni!!!!!!!!

Hope the current political trend in Burundi will favour a peaceful climate.
Meanwhile its June . Soon the year will be gone. Whats on the ground good people? What do we publicise? Lets avoid last minute operations. In the last meeting we had recommended that by June all preliminaries should be in place-speakers, theme, budget etc
Mishel, the December retreats are for both students and associates. Some of us planned to pull out becasue of the failing standards otherwise they are meant for both associates and students.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Honourable Members, Distinguished Leaders; All Protocols Observed: Good Morning.

Edward Buddy, Sorry for late response to your mail. It is true we're running late with the planning; but certain things must be put in place first.

To date a part from knowing that you are the Ugandan Representative in the Convention Committee (and Myself-Kenya), the rest of the countries are yet to tell us who sits in this committee. Can we (as a matter of urgency) get the names from each member country so I can send the Draft Programme. Kenya has already finished working on the same. As a matter of fact, I am ready to share the Draft Programme with the Convention Committee Members any time from this minute; as long as I have their names and e-mails.

Again I wanna suggest here that the Convention Chair to call a meeting in Burundi as soon as possible; so as to work out the preliminaries before we begin communicating and publicizing the Convention-We've got to be orderly and thoroughly factual.

Looking forward to reading from you very soon on this subject matter.

Have a terrific Day filled with God's blessings!

Yours Sincerely

Kira Mishael

Hello Sister Jacques.

I am excited to read from you as well as quite impressed with the speed with which you  have responded to my mail. I really wish that all of us- especially in the Convention Committee would embrace this speed; for if we did we would really move mountains within no time and hasten the Coming of the Lord.

If I may ask, which country are you from and are you in the Convention Committee? Could each country forward to us the names and contacts of their members to sit in the Convention Committee; to get us started on the Process!! I am waiting to share the Draft Programme with them. This does not need to wait for the  meeting.

Finally Jacques, I am a HE not a SHE.

Have a nice evening.

Yours Sincerely

Kira Mishael (Mr.)
KENYA.

Hi Kira,

I'm Daniel Nyabenda, the Burundi AAYP Director (but ours is called PAD) PAD is french and Means Professionels Adventistes pour le Developpement (Adventist Professionals for Development) . So I just quickly want to let you know that I have already sent all the PAD members and their contact to Lydia Akinyi. You can ask her.

Thanks and Keep in Touch.

Hello Daniel,

Sincerely glad to read from you; and thanks a lot my brother for responding to my mail. However, your mail does not adequately respond to my queries.

Burundi is Hosting the Next AAYP Convention and hence I am assuming that you (Daniel) are the Chair of the Convention Committee. But also Burundi is in charge of Transport and Accommodation; in this regard you should give me the Names and contacts for these two. This is to allow me send the Draft Programme to them.

Again, after having had a meeting with Edward Mugisha, Pr. Mulumba and the AAYP Kenya,it is paramount that you call all the Convention Committee Members for a meeting to begin thorough planning. This meeting must be held in Burundi. As you may notice here, nothing can proceed until we have this meeting and have all the facts right; this is why Edward is lamenting about the delay; as he can not publicize nor communicate anything with regards to this Convention. I hence kindly request you to do the needful in time to kick-start us.

Finally, I get an impression that PAD and AAYP are two different entities. Don't you think it would be prudent for Burundi to change the name to AAYP for Uniformity sake-just like the World Church have AYS uniformly across the entire globe.

Looking forward to reading from you in these regards as soon as possible.

Have a terrific day filled with God's blessings!

Yours Sincerely

Kira Mishael

Dear Kira Mishael,

Here are answers to your questions:
For questions related to transportation and accommodation for the next Burundi Convention please contact the following persons and here are their contacts:

1.Casien Sindaye , is in charge of Eduaction and Seminars:sinc...@yahoo.fr

2.Donatien Nihorimbere in charge of Leisure and Social Affairs: nihorimbe...@yahoo.com

3.Joséphine RUKUNDO, she is the Treasurer for the convetion: rujon...@yahoo.fr

Please send all the mails to them with copy to myself and to my Deputy Director, Victor Nahishakiye: nahishak...@yahoo.fr

All of them are copied to this message.

Regarding the convention committee for all the members, I don't understand. It is confusing. In my view my people can organise, identify hotels, venue, make a budget and communicate to others. In future a committee can come over to inspect but we can make proposals.

Finally as regards the name of the PAD, this question was prompted by the Convention in Kampala during the month of April and here is the answer: the realities of the countries are not the same example, how the English-speaking countries prepare and present constitution is completely different from Francophone countries. Otherwise Pastor Mulumba can help you for more details on this.

Thank you and keep in touch

Daniel Nyabenda

Hello Nyabenda Daniel.
First en foremost am sorry for late response to your mail.Secondly,am
glad for your response to my mail. However, who between Donatien en
Casien is in the Convention Committee?Burundi has 3 Slots-NOT 4.To the
rest of the countries, kindly forward the names of your representatives
in the committee to avoid further delay in Planning
As to the question of Convention Committee meetin in
Burundi, there's no alternative. No one can publicize what they dont
know.Let your team identify yes,but the committee must ratify As it's
at the helm of everythin.
Kindly therefore sir,facilitate us!
