--Dear Brothers and Sisters,
During the Pastoral Staff Prayer Meeting this week, as we all went around and shared prayer requests of our respective congregations, someone made a comment that it’s not even halfway through the month, yet it already felt so testing. The New Year has already been challenging for many of us.
How important it is for us to focus on God and fix our eyes on Him. Do you remember the story of a man who, as long as he had his eyes fixed on Jesus, could walk on water? But as soon as he removed his gaze on Jesus and started to dwell on the waves and storms around him, he began to sink?
Yes, we know that story well. Chances are, we will encounter storms in this Year 2023. Some of us are in one already. Let's learn the valuable spiritual lesson from the Apostle Peter, to fix our eyes on Christ in the midst of the waves and storms. Let’s hold on to the promise of our Lord Jesus; the One who created heaven and earth, the One who had authority over the wind and the waves, the One who holds us in the palm of His hands...
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. ~ Matthew 6:33
