Fw: SV Odyssey of the Mind Tournament - calling for help

As some of you know, i am coordinating the OOTM activities at Quimby Middle School; our school is fielding 3 teams this year.

One team is in desperate need of a (high school or older) volunteer ... without a team supplied volunteer, they cannot compete in the SV tournament.

The competition is on March 5th, 2011 at
Buchser Middle School   -   Website
Street: 1111 Bellomy Stree, San Jose, CA 95050

It is a 2 hour commitment and the student can get community/volunteer hour credit for the 2 hrs (or more).
I'll give the volunteer a ride to/from the competition site and get them lunch.

Know anyone that can help us out? If so, have them get in touch with me...and we will get the volunteer registered.

it is really not that bad...the volunteer can request to work within a competition room so that he/she can watch the teams perform (assuming those slots are not already taken up).

You all have worked so hard to prepare for the competition...it'd be a shame not to compete for the lack of a volunteer.

Let me know if you can't find anyone...and i will ask some parents of kids in EVHS. we need to take care of this in the next day or so.

Hi Arvind,

The volunteer has to work for a minimum of 2 hours. This may include serving food/setting up. There is more info on the website.
