Spontaneous Practice Event
To all Silicon Valley Odyssey of the Mind coaches,
One of our long-time coaches, Raji Pingali, is coordinating a Spontaneous Practice session at Forest Park Elementary School in Fremont on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. There is space for up to 12 teams to participate, so please contact her ASAP if your team would like to join them. The first 12 teams that contact her by this Sunday afternoon will be included.
For this event you will need to bring a hands-on spontaneous problem to share with the other teams. Please bring supplies for up to 12 teams (include enough supplies for 7 team members) to do the problem and provide one adult to run the problem station while your team goes to the other problem stations to try the other problems. If your team needs supervision while going to the other problems please bring another adult. Raji would particularly like to invite Div II & III teams to participate.
Please contact Raji at rkpi...@yahoo.com to sign-up for this event. Please provide your school/group name, the division of your team, the number of team members participating, and a brief description of the problem your team will bring.
Sorry for the last minute notice of this opportunity. I hope that some of you will be able to attend.
Silicon Valley Odyssey of the Mind is planning to offer at least 2 (maybe more) Spontania Mania events in January. Tentatively scheduled for Saturdays, Jan. 15 and 22 in San Jose and Saratoga. As soon as we have the times confirmed we will open registration for those sessions as well.
If any other schools would like to plan and coordinate additional practice sessions that they would like to invite other teams to please let us know and we will get the word out to everyone.
