Beatitudes Society at St Paul's Cathedral this Sunday

An interesting speaker is coming to St Paul's Cathedral this Sunday -- Anne Howard, author and Executive Director of The Beatitudes Society. She'll be discussing her new book, Claiming the Beatitudes: Nine Stories from a New Generation.

The Beatitudes Society (www.beatitudessociety.org) specifically focuses on young adults in Christian ministry. Their official motto: "The Beatitudes Society develops and sustains emerging Christian leaders as they build a progressive network for justice, compassion, and peace as expressed in the Beatitudes."

Author Anne Howard:  "Claiming the Beatitudes: Nine Stories from a New Generation"      Author Anne Howard asks, "Is it possible to live a beatitudes life in today's world?" Through nine stories of young pastors and seminarians making a difference in their world, we learn to see the beatitudes not as an unreachable standard, but as a simple set of guidelines for life. Anne Howard serves as Executive Director of The Beatitudes Society, which develops and sustains emerging Christian leaders as they build a progressive network for justice, compassion and peace as expressed in the Beatitudes.
