Roadies and Team Captains,
Aren't you excited for the first road weekend of the season?  Only 3 weeks to go.  Below are 2 pieces of information regarding Rutgers.  Please pass on to your teams asap.

Collegiate Road Categories:
Check your collegiate license now (and have your teammates check theirs as well).  Is it current for 2012?  Does it list the lettered road category that you plan to race this season?  If your category is not correct, file your upgrade on usacycling.org.  If you are planning to race Men's or Women's A or Men's B, it is especially important that you renew your license before you come out to race and that the category is correct.  Once renewed, print your "authorization to ride" which should list your correct collegiate road category.  Either way, renew now while you are in the warmth of your house and bring an "authorization to ride" or valid license (with the correct category) to show to registration and at number pickup.  Also note, new for 2012 is a rule that excludes one-day license holders from racing in a higher category than Men's Ds or Women's Cs.  If at all possibly, buy your annual licenses ahead of time to save time and energy at Rutgers (if you are buying the $60 normal license, don't forget to click for the free collegiate add-on).  See you soon.

Number Pickup Help Needed:
I'm coordinating number pickup on Saturday morning at the Rutgers ITT and need 2-3 more people to help out from 6:00am until 8 or 9am.  You can earn $20/hr for helping out.  I would also like some help from 10am-11am over at the circuit course.  Do you have a friend or relative who wants to come along for the weekend?  This is a great way to make their time even more useful.  Email me asap if you're interested.

One note on those who haven't renewed your licenses yet and need to update your category: Make sure to get the category right first and then renew your license; that way the correct category shows up on your actual license. If you have to print out a Authorization to Ride with you don't forget it expires 30 days from when you print it out; so you'll have to do it twice, once for March and once for April.

See you all in 3 weeks,
Alan
