Hey Everyone,
I posted this on Facebook, and will now send it around here. As you know we have a ,Google Document set up for our ECBU fitness preparations. It's been available for nearly 2 months now. Here's my assessment of how the fitness preparations have been going, based on the Google doc:
People who are definitely doing enough:Hannah, Kobe
People who are doing OK, but could probably add some consistency and/or intensity:Garrett, Eylem, Selim, Ece, Orhun, Ebru, Tunca, Melanie
People who (according to the list) have done no fitness work, or very little, so far: Emrecan Işık, Seçkin Demirkol, Yiğit Şahin, Onur Demirel, Barış Çağlar Ayyıldız, Ahmet Mumcuoglu, Emre Can, Ebru Özdeş , Gökhan, Gizem Mutlu, Ariel Travis (Dec but not Jan), Sylwia, Gul Ulu, Ali Baris Demirci (Dec, but not Jan), Ekin Erdolu, Ozan Akdemir, Esin Kutay Kılıç, Buyuk Anne, Baris Mutlu, Ali Berk Çetinbudaklar, Cem, Elif, Melih G, Melih A. (I apologize if I missed some names, or added names for people who actually don't wish to try out--I actually just mean "everyone else".)
I would like to remind everyone that preparing for a tournament like this needs to be a full team effort. It will be very sad if we go to Spain with a team in which half of the people have been working hard for many months, and half of the people have not. It's not fair to those who are working hard, and it's not a good way to represent Turkey internationally. You are trying to make it onto the Turkish National Team for a sport in which athleticism is absolutely essential.
Please start preparing accordingly.
