Please Help. I need your support

This is little difficult to ask you all for Money, but for this cause I am ready to BEG literally. Even if one of you responds to this that will be fantastic.

Friends please help. I need your support in making some impact. 

I am running TCS 10K marathon to spread the awareness on ISHA VIDYA. Please support me in making this a grand success.

I am doing this because they are all under privileged kids who have never seen a single good meal in their life. These children belong to the poorest segment of society where they are typically the first generation in their families that is receiving education. Their parents are typically daily wage earners/farm laborers etc. If we do not support them then probably they will have to follow their parents in earning the daily wage, generally at farms. These are all done in rural parts where it is really difficult provide such standard education even if we personally wish to do so. If you can do whatever is possible in your capacity then it can transform the lives of those kids which would otherwise just get crushed by the cruel poverty.

Some Highlights on ISHA VIDYA

Isha Vidhya schools provide high quality education in English medium, with a lot of special methodologies to help the children really learn. The focus is on wholistic development of the child – Yoga, sports, arts, crafts, environmental awareness, all part of the curriculum.

We have 9 schools and also a Govt School Adoption Program (as part of this we have adopted 56 schools in Tamil Nadu and 460 in Andhra Pradesh so far).

As part of GSAP we support the schools with improving the quality of education by hiring teachers to fill gaps, providing English classes, Remedial program for slow learners and introducing sports, yoga, health and environmental awareness, etc.

Last year the first batch of students from Isha Vidhya schools wrote their 10th Standard Public Exams this year in March 2015. They have performed remarkably well belying their disadvantaged background. The highest aggregate marks scored were 494/500. 100% pass results were achieved with the overall aggregate of all the students together being 89.6%.

A few years back we set up kitchens in the schools when the teachers complained of bad stench from the lunch boxes and we realized the food they were eating wasn’t providing them the nourishment to be able to make use of everything that was being offered at school. Since then we also serve a mid-day meal to the children at all the Isha Vidhya schools.

Please Please help generously. What could be just a party for us on one weekend can be a full year meal subsidy for a KID.
