NEWS: eCorolla gets into road register !!!

This is it: THE major goal for the open source eCorolla prototype building, getting the car into regular road traffic register, it has been reached now, dated as 20.5.2011. BIG conguralations to all who have contributed to its making!!!
It is a major achievement, the biggest of all road marks the community has had ever since starting. Many have fallen during the long road to succes. Now we have it. - Now what?
The world in 2011 is different from that of 2008 when we started. Is the basic concept of modular mass production still viable, after what we have learned during the process and what the big car companies have been offering or promising? - That remains still to be seen.

I agree that it may be time to re-assess the initial dream and see what has been done, what can be done further.
Appropriate questions from the Chief Strategist.
Suggest we start with the recent thesis on open source hardware, using eCars Now as the theme. Lessons learned.
Remember we are breaking new ground here...taking the successful and proven principles of open source software and applying them to hardware. Very different game. No one knows how to do it yet.
Pioneers of the new frontier. I love it!

congratulations Jiri! check out our new website, www.ecarsnow.it in italy we have launched officially the purchase-group for 2012 with several models and if succesfully we will spread the model to other countries! kind regards Rob
