I remember awhile back we talked about this, is there any good stuff
out their that can compete with Dragon Natural Speaking?

Todd,

Last week I looked at some open source voice recognition packages.
There's only a few and sphinx is supposedly the best. I was able to get
it working somewhat, but it doesn't compare to dragon. It doesn't do
continuous speech like dragon does and the default speech models aren't
great. Also, dragon trains on the fly whereas sphinx doesn't.

I'd say sphinx would work for voice commands in a limited fashion, but
it's probably not good for dictating anything.
