Last meeting it was mentioned about popcorn hour. I read one of the
reviews about it and it stated that the HDMI port needed to do the
decoding. How would I know if my HDMI port will decode?

Also, a system monitor tool was mentioned. What was the name again?

Thanks,
Kenny

How do people feel about mentioning people's real names in posts?

I didn't pay too much attention to the HDMI interface spec as my stereo system can do dts, thx, and other surround sound decoding.  Once I get the box I'll let you know.

I'm not sure what what you meant about the system monitor tool but the two that I remember being brought up was, "top" which is a command line tool that is built into Ubuntu, and "conky" that I run continuously on my desktop.  If one of these are it, I can explain more.

For using real peoples names, I wouldn't have an issue of using first names in public posts and using full names in private emails.  I guess it's personal preference, maybe worth getting people's opinions in our meetings.

Thanks.
I ordered the PCH last night.  On your EEEpc you had conky on your desktop.  How did you do that?

Kenny,

Search EC_LUG site for conky. There were a few articles about it. It
will get you on the right track.
